Creative goals for 2020 and finished Christmas socks

General plans/ambitions: Christmas socks! I received this yarn from my parents at our early Christmas celebration, and decided to cast them on right away, even if they wouldn't be finished by Christmas 2019. For these socks, I used the heel and gusset shaping from the Cyril socks pattern, since that produces the best fit for my high arches. I knit these just as a vanilla sock with my preferred numbers. The basic info is listed below, but for even more details, you can see my ravelry project page...

2019: A year in review

Once this is done, I can look forward, with clearer eyes, a lighter heart. Just when it felt like I had far too many projects on my needles at once, I finished two projects back-to-back: a pair of socks and a hat.Ryg hatThis was an interesting knitting experience, that's for sure. The yarn was difficult to read when I knit with it, but after an inch or so, I began to get the hang of it...

Creative goals, 2019 and Finished Christmas Hermoine socks

Every January, I enjoy sorting out my creative thoughts for the upcoming year. I find it helps motivate me to use (beautiful) materials I already own and help curb feelings of wanting accumulate more. You can read last year's creative goals post here. And honestly, it's enjoyable for me to see what things I set out to make at the beginning of the year that I actually did make...
