Several finished quarantine knits and creativity check, April 2020

Yarn: Shepherd's Wool Worsted in peach Pattern: Tread by Shannon Cook Specifics/modifications: Sized down needles, but otherwise, knit to pattern. Yarn: Cascade Yarns Eco Duo (alpaca/merino blend) Pattern: Graham by Jennifer Adams Specifics/modifications: Specifics/modifications: I sized down my needles (of course), and I altered the crown of the hat to make it slightly less pointed. In all honesty, I haven't blocked this yet, but I do imagine that the crown will flatten some when I do block it. Yarn: Stress Knits favorite base, in the colorway etching (grey), and madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light + Copper Glitter, in the colorway Mars Rover...

Creative goals for 2020 and finished Christmas socks

General plans/ambitions: Christmas socks! I received this yarn from my parents at our early Christmas celebration, and decided to cast them on right away, even if they wouldn't be finished by Christmas 2019. For these socks, I used the heel and gusset shaping from the Cyril socks pattern, since that produces the best fit for my high arches. I knit these just as a vanilla sock with my preferred numbers. 2019: A year in review

Once this is done, I can look forward, with clearer eyes, a lighter heart. I so often feel lighter from observing the heavy pieces one last time before putting them to the side, emptying my hands in order to take up the next year in our life. Knitting: Creatively, the start of the year felt a little slow, since morning sickness derailed any interest in much of anything. I did regain my knitting mojo, but then life circumstances were hectic with a cross-country move, etc...

Creativity check & finished projects, summer 2019

I thought it was time I wrote about my recent reative pursuits, since I haven't done a "Creativity check" since February! In the interim, I didn't work on as many projects as I usually do, in part because moving and transitioning took precedence.
