Welcome Baby Finn!

Amongst all the meal prepping and nesting I've been doing, the newest member of our family joined us a couple weeks early! In due time I will write more of his birth story, but Finn was born at home, in the birthing tub, with a smooth and rather fast active labor. We are doing great! Recovering, lots of snuggles and naps, snacking, nursing, and all getting acquainted with our Finn.

I'll share more soon, but for now, we are soaking in these early, early newborn days and all the blur and joy they bring. Praising God for Finn's safe arrival and for all the joy we have in holding him in our arms and getting to know this little person we prayed for and spoke to and felt kick for all these months. He's here!

Life lately, late July 2023

Looking back at my recent posts, I realized it has been a long time since I wrote a little post about "life lately." I've written about things in our life, yes, like Cooper turning four, a visit to our friends in Bloomington, a visit from my family, a trip to the beach and the one year anniversary of my mother-in-law's passing, recent knitting and other creative projects, and some updates about our garden this year. But I haven't written a post with the little mish-mash bits of life since early June. So here I am now, playing a little bit of catch up.
