A Mavis hat for Cooper
Are you noticing a trend? This hat pattern is just the cutest and now that I've knit it twice for gifts, I decided (and Nicholas chimed in too) that Cooper needed one as well. It stays on his head, keeps him warm, doesn't fall in his eyes, and looks so darn adorable.
- Yarn: Plymouth Yarn DK Merino superwash
- Pattern: the hat from the Mavis pattern trio by Oomieknits
- Needles: US size 5, sized down, as is my usual for my loose tension.
- Specifics/modifications: Same notes as the one I knit a few weeks ago. I knit the 6-9 month size and it fits Cooper perfectly. My ravelry page for this project can be found here.
I captured a few of these photos before I sewed on the button, but they were too cute not to include. ;) I'm thrilled and he seems content when he's wearing it, so that's a success!
Habitation throw, finished
After many months of sporadically working on this project, it's done! This was a longer term project for me, due to the size, and it suited me well to keep it as a background project to work on when I felt like it. However, with the beginning of January, I found myself wanting to wrap up a few projects, this included, so I worked on it more intensely until it was finally done.
Creative goals for 2023
At the beginning of each year, I like to make a rough outline of some creative plans. I know that these tentative plans will invariably change, but I like to have a starting point when I look ahead to projects, especially in terms of using yarn or materials already in my stash.
Fluffiest set vest, finished
When Hannah of Hannah G. Knits shared photos of a children's boucle vest and put out a call for testing, I applied.
